Geschichte
Das Team wurde 1996 gegründet und nahm ab der Saison 1996/97 am Spielbetrieb der International Hockey League teil, wo sich die Mannschaft schnell etablieren konnte. Nachdem die IHL im Jahr 2001 aufgelöst wurde, schlossen sich die "Griffins" der AHL an, wo sie seitdem spielen.
