Geschichte
Im Februar 2010 erwarb die Firma MAK Hockey, LLC die Franchiserechte an den Albany River Rats. Da der Club seit längerer Zeit unrentabel war wurde das Franchise nach Charlotte verlegt. Die Kooperation als Farmteam mit den Carolina Hurricanes bleibt aber weiterhin bestehen.
